For the past 30 years, Mark has been creating transformational, storytelling experiences. After receiving both a BFA and MFA in Theatre Set Design, his career took a turn from telling stores in theatre to planning, creating and operating sustainable attractions for museums, theme parks, visitor centers and product launches. He is a student of culture, theatre, architecture, music, art and design; of processes, of why people do what they do, of technology and how things work. He uses insight to create experiences that transform...not only in thought, but also in action. He's worked with almost every theme park company in the world as Design Director for Jack Rouse Associates, was the VP of Design at Architecture firm BDRAD, a VP Senior Creative Director with marketing giant Interpublic Group and most recently, the Chief Experience Officer for KidZania, a global entertainment company with role-playing theme parks in 11 countries. "Mark has a unique way of combining creative thought with an organizational expertise and diverse knowledge base which adds clarity to complex project parameters. In other words, Mark is great at pulling it all together in a quite elegant way."
"One of Mark's greatest assets is his ability to see and maintain a clear vision of the goal of a project and the client's or consumer's needs while dealing with all the critical details and minutia of running a complex—and in most cases, international - team."
"Mark has a tremendous ability to see the big picture on both projects and organizations and, even on slim teams, has been able to put forth strategic ideas and plans to get the job done in the best way possible, utilizing resources to the best of their abilities."
